Walking through the vine rows in summer and feeling surrounded by a green, well-kept "garden" always evokes emotion! It is also essential to take care of the wall of leaves and today our focus is working on the canopy.  We begin with making a type of cage and arranging the shoots inside the wires so that the leaf wall will grow following this vertical, slender path and remain consistent and orderly. The uniform appearance of the plants is ideal not only for aesthetic reasons. An organized vineyard means higher quality wine since work can be carried out more efficiently and the grapes will ripen more consistently.
