Southeastern exposure and surrounded by seemingly enchanted woods, the grapes harvested here produce our Rubio wine.
Vigna Selva, where the grapes to produce our Rubio are harvested, faces southeast and is located in an area of San Polo distinguished by a steep slope, just below the Vignavecchia vineyard. The temperature here remains cool from the typical Montalcino wind that blows between the forest and the rows of vines from a lush, biodiverse greenbelt and is something our team believes should be valued, protected, and safeguarded. We decided to plant a Sangiovese clone that produces smaller grapes since this plot of land sees less sun. In this way, the risk of the fruit ripening too late is eliminated and the grapes are also more concentrated with important properties.
